Branding

Branding Guidelines

On this page, you’ll find an overview of our branding guidelines as well assets such as logos and colours. This covers all aspects of Reflect Church including photography, social media and print design.

An introduction to branding

A brand is not about looking cool. Nor is it about presenting ourselves to be something we are not. A brand is about the feeling people have about us when we come to mind. Naturally we want this to be positive, consistent and genuine. But we also want it to be specific.

Bland and generic gets lost in a sea of mediocrity. We are a unique church with a unique calling and unique people. So why wouldn’t we present ourselves in a unique way?

The photos we take. The spaces we inhabit. The messages we send. The projects we undertake. These are all part of the myriad of touch points that make up our brand.

Understanding our brand

The look

Visually we embody contrast and texture. We always bring an alternative expression whether salt in the city, light in the darkness or truth amidst lies. There is a certain grit and raw energy that we bring that is balanced with gentleness and kindness.

The feel

We refresh whilst others drain. We set free rather than burden. There is a beauty in the ordinary and the simplicity. There is a lightness that transforms heaviness. We elevate people’s imagination through beautiful expression and creative work.

The icon

The infinity icon is the perfect expression of Reflect Church. It signifies the eternal nature of God, the timeless relevance of his church with a beautifully symmetrical and simple design.

In the right hands, this icon can also be creatively interpreted through different mediums (such as paint strokes, light projections etc) to create necessary contrast.

The fonts

Our primary font is Proxima Nova with a tracking of -20. But Garamond Italic can also be used to add further contrast.

The photography

Photos and videos are to achieve a certain vintage faded aesthetic. This is accomplished with light desaturation (90%), rolling off the lowest blacks and highest whites through curves, a warm shift towards yellow in temperature and added noise/sharpness.

As we increase our cost of facilities to accommodate weekly services across two locations, our monthly expenditure increases to £10,045.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our church services last approx 1 hour 30 minutes. People will often come a few minutes early and linger after the service to grab tea and coffee and catch up with friends.

The children join with us for the first part of the service during worship (approx 25 minutes) and then head upstairs for our Spark Kids programme for all 2-10s. To find out more, head to our families page.

We are truly a diverse church full of many cultures, backgrounds and generations. We have a lot of young children and families as well as many students and young adults. Creativity is also a gift for us as a church and we tend to attract a lot of creatives.

Sats and Emma Solanki are the Lead Pastors of Reflect Church. They lead the church with an amazing team alongside them. Find out more about our team here.

There is plenty of on street parking available for free on Sundays right next to the church. Please make sure you double check parking signs though!

Our time of worship is full of life and energy. We play modern songs (many of which we have written ourselves) and use instruments like synths, guitars & drums etc. You’ll see people lifting their hands and expressing their love to God verbally and visually.

To listen to some of our music, check out our recent album, Milk & Honey.

Most of our preaching is done by Pastor Sats Solanki although the rest of the team will share also. We teach simple truths and choose topics from the Bible that apply to everyday life as well as moving in the  gifts of the Holy Spirit. Much of our preaching is prophetic in nature – it’s common for us to share words of revelation and lay hands on the sick also.

To hear our preaching head over to our YouTube channel or listen to the podcast.

Community Guidelines

Community Guidelines

Community is incredibly important to us and we want to make sure that every online space that Reflect Church occupies is full of fun, family & faith all round.

Here’s what that looks like to us.

  1. Interactive. If you’ve got time to read a message then you’ve got time to reply quickly. You don’t need to be online 24/7 but it’s a good thing to keep community alive and popping.
  2. Bantersome. We don’t take ourselves too seriously. Memes are not only appreciated but compulsory.
  3. Kind. Let’s always keep our speech sweet, gentle & full of self-control.
  4. Appropriate. Not every pastoral need should be shared with the group. You can always pick up the phone too.
  5. Valuable. Our spaces are not the place to plug products, events or strange YouTube teachings without invitation.

Thank you for adhering to our community guidelines!

Why Influencers?

A vision to pursue

Creating a clear biblical target to aim for in life makes it easier to truly follow Jesus. And with so many voices and perspectives available today, if we’re not deliberate about the direction of our lives, it’s easy to get lost on the way.

A commitment to uphold

Whether you stay in the area long-term or we have the opportunity to send and bless you into your next season, we’ve deliberately crafted this framework to work wherever you end up. Following Jesus isn’t just for a few months, it’s a lifelong commitment.

A journey to navigate

Following Jesus is a journey and we know that we often do it imperfectly. Becoming an Influencer is not about perfectionism and legalism but by the grace of God continuing on a journey of being perfected.

What are the benefits of becoming an Influencer?

God honours bold decisions. And maybe also good decisions in general. Making the decision to actively engage in following Jesus in the context of community is spiritually powerful and will open up your future. You can also expect the following.

Behind The Scenes

You will get exclusive access to our monthly Influencers BTS meetings with special guest speakers, leadership input, prayer and prophecy.

Community Strength

Iron sharpens iron and you’ll be connected to a strong and kind community of people who are serious about following Jesus with access to our Influencers WhatsApp Group Chat.

Pastoral Focus

Becoming an Influencer is a sign that you desire discipleship and will open up personal input from Ps Sats & the team.

A Seat at the Table

You will have the opportunity to engage deeper in the heart of all we do at Reflect Church with opportunities available for training and practical involvement.

Who can become an Influencer?

The Influencers Discipleship Framework is available to every person who calls Reflect Church their home and considers themselves a follower of Jesus.

Practically we will ask you in good conscience to do the following:

  1. Commit to and value the Nine Elements of Influence
  2. Agree with our Statements of Belief

We require new members to be recommended by two existing members. Inactive members may also have their membership revoked.

The Nine Elements of Influence

Each of our values comes with a short paragraph to summarise what it means. For in-depth teaching on these topics, please check out our YouTube channel or podcast.

Baptism is an outward sign of a life fully immersed in God. I have been (or am about to be) baptised into the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Gathering is of the utmost importance to me. I hold the value of meeting together as a church on a regular basis.

Talking to Jesus is a regular and wonderful part of my day. I create space to meet with him with honesty and vulnerability.

I put God first in my life by giving the first of my income to him. I recognise the connection between money and my heart and am diligent in trusting God.

Rest is a divine command from God. I practise the Sabbath as an essential rhythm for my wellbeing, peace and quality of life.

Sex is a gift from God for procreation, pleasure and unity and is only appropriate within marriage. Marriage is always described in scripture as exclusively between a man and woman.

Creativity is not an added extra but an essential part of my life. I bring God my best in all areas including my workplace and my home.

Service is the example of true greatness set by Jesus. I humble myself to lift up and bless others wherever I am.

Seeing those in my world come to know Jesus is a priority for me. I intercede on their behalf on a regular basis.
