Community Guidelines

Community Guidelines

Community is incredibly important to us and we want to make sure that every online space that Reflect Church occupies is full of fun, family & faith all round.

Here’s what that looks like to us.

  1. Interactive. You don’t need to be online 24/7 of course but the best communities are engaged. Let’s keep the conversation going.
  2. Bantersome. We don’t take ourselves too seriously. Memes are not only appreciated but compulsory.
  3. Kind. Let’s always keep our speech sweet, gentle & full of self-control.
  4. Appropriate. Not every pastoral need should be shared with the group. You can always message the team privately or pick up the phone.
  5. Valuable. Our spaces are not the place to plug products, events or strange YouTube teachings without invitation.

We will use our own judgment in making sure our online spaces are safe and fun for all involved. Thank you for adhering to our community guidelines!

Why Influencers?

A vision to pursue

Creating a clear biblical target to aim for in life makes it easier to truly follow Jesus. And with so many voices and perspectives available today, if we’re not deliberate about the direction of our lives, it’s easy to get lost on the way.

A commitment to uphold

Whether you stay in the area long-term or we have the opportunity to send and bless you into your next season, we’ve deliberately crafted this framework to work wherever you end up. Following Jesus isn’t just for a few months, it’s a lifelong commitment.

A journey to navigate

Following Jesus is a journey and we know that we often do it imperfectly. Becoming an Influencer is not about perfectionism and legalism but by the grace of God continuing on a journey of being perfected.

What are the benefits of becoming an Influencer?

God honours bold decisions. And maybe also good decisions in general. Making the decision to actively engage in following Jesus in the context of community is spiritually powerful and will open up your future. You can also expect the following.

Behind The Scenes

You will get exclusive access to our monthly Influencers BTS meetings with special guest speakers, leadership input, prayer and prophecy.

Community Strength

Iron sharpens iron and you’ll be connected to a strong and kind community of people who are serious about following Jesus with access to our Influencers WhatsApp Group Chat.

Pastoral Focus

Becoming an Influencer is a sign that you desire discipleship and will open up personal input from Ps Sats & the team.

A Seat at the Table

You will have the opportunity to engage deeper in the heart of all we do at Reflect Church with opportunities available for training and practical involvement.

Who can become an Influencer?

The Influencers Discipleship Framework is available to every person who calls Reflect Church their home and considers themselves a follower of Jesus.

Practically we will ask you in good conscience to do the following:

  1. Commit to and value the Nine Elements of Influence
  2. Agree with our Statements of Belief

We require new members to be recommended by two existing members. Inactive members may also have their membership revoked.

The Nine Elements of Influence

Each of our values comes with a short paragraph to summarise what it means. For in-depth teaching on these topics, please check out our YouTube channel or podcast.

Baptism is an outward sign of a life fully immersed in God. I have been (or am about to be) baptised into the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Gathering is of the utmost importance to me. I hold the value of meeting together as a church on a regular basis.

Talking to Jesus is a regular and wonderful part of my day. I create space to meet with him with honesty and vulnerability.

I put God first in my life by giving the first of my income to him. I recognise the connection between money and my heart and am diligent in trusting God.

Rest is a divine command from God. I practise the Sabbath as an essential rhythm for my wellbeing, peace and quality of life.

Sex is a gift from God for procreation, pleasure and unity and is only appropriate within marriage. Marriage is always described in scripture as exclusively between a man and woman.

Creativity is not an added extra but an essential part of my life. I bring God my best in all areas including my workplace and my home.

Service is the example of true greatness set by Jesus. I humble myself to lift up and bless others wherever I am.

Seeing those in my world come to know Jesus is a priority for me. I intercede on their behalf on a regular basis.

Giving

Thank you for being a part of what God is doing at Reflect Church

Set up a standing order

If you’re a regular giver then we’d love to encourage you to set up a standing order. Firstly, there are no processing fees attached which means 100% of your gift will be going to Reflect Church.

But also regular giving allows us to have a clear idea of future budget which means we can make the best possible decisions as a church.

You can set up your giving with the following bank details:

Account name: C3 Reflect
Account number: 21412367
Sort code: 50-10-05

Reflect Church is a registered UK charity (No. 1194463).

Are you registered for Gift Aid?

For every £1 donated by an individual, the UK government allows us to claim back an additional 25p. This is called Gift Aid. You need to have simply paid at least that much in Income Tax.

Filling out a Gift Aid Declaration is incredibly easy and yet super helpful as it allows us to increase your giving by up to 25%. If you haven’t done so already, please use the link below.

Annual Reports

We are committed to talking openly and honestly about how we receive and spend money at Reflect Church. Not only is financial integrity and transparency of the utmost importance for the health of the church but it can only strengthen our unity and encourage us in our generosity.

We’re pleased to be able to share our annual reports with you below which contain detailed financial breakdowns and reflections from past years.

Meet the team at Reflect Church

Meet the leadership team

Hey there! We’re Sats, Emma, Aidan, Anna & Angelica and together we lead Reflect Church in London, UK. Reflect Church started on 8th June 2021 as we planted out of an existing multi-site church which closed down.

Whilst each of us have different functions and take on different levels of responsibility in the church, we make all of our high-level decisions together. We see this model in the New Testament as Acts 2:42 describes the early church as being devoted to the teaching of the apostles (note the plural). To find out more about how we work as a team and view spiritual leadership, stay tuned for our introduction course, New to Reflect Church.

Get Connected

Hello Londoners!

Whether you’ve lived in London all of your life or you’re new to the city, we’d love to help you get connected. Are you visiting one of our Sunday services? Or perhaps you’re just finding us online. Families

Hello parents!

Families are super important to us at Reflect Church and we love having so many young people as a part of church life in the Docklands. We’re passionate about helping everyone connect to Jesus, no matter how old they are. There’s plenty happening for parents, children & youth throughout so let us know you’re here by filling in the form below.

Let's get connected

Babies & tots (0-2s)

Many parents like to stay downstairs with their baby in the main space during the service. We also have a well-equipped designated space with comfy sofas for parents and toys for little ones during our Sunday services.

Feeding

We know little tummies need lots of feeding so you’re welcome to breastfeed, give your kids milk, snacks & food in all of our spaces.

Changing

Baby changing facilities are available to use in our downstairs and upstairs spaces.

Noise

We know kids are noisy and church is a place for everyone. If your child is feeling a little more energetic then please use the designated upstairs space during the message.

Spark Kids (2-10s)

Our 10am Sunday service is designed for families and all of our Spark Kids. All the 2-10s head upstairs after worship, where they play games, learn about God and the Bible, grow in faith, do crafts and pray together. Please note that there is no Spark Kids during the 12pm service.

We also have our own Spark Kids YouTube channel with tonnes of Bible stories, messages, challenges and our own mascot, Sparky the dog.

Safeguarding

All our teams working with under 18s are DBS checked. Please check our Safeguarding policy for more details.

First time

We’d love to show you around the kids room and explain what we’re up to when your kids come for the first time. Parents are welcome to accompany their children if it will help them to settle in.

Other events

We often run kids events at Easter, Summer and Christmas. Sign up to the mailing list here to make sure you don’t miss out.

Electric Youth (11-13 & 14-17)

Electric Youth is a time for growth, questions and exploration for all secondary aged teenagers in Reflect Church. We gather each Sunday for discussion, challenges, fun and time with Jesus from 11.30am until 11.55am (between our two services), and for termly youth nights on a Friday evening. This is such a key age of questions and exploration for teens and we’re excited to serve them as they grow up or join the church.

Parents

Being a parent and leading your kids to Jesus is a privilege and a huge challenge, and at Reflect Church we’re so glad we get to do it together. From time to time, we run different sessions to support and encourage parents in leading our kids into faith.

Dinner Parties

We're relaunching brand new Dinner Parties super soon and will be updating this page with more details.
